Definitely have a wait. We were called in about half an hour, they were really busy. The meat was very fresh and everything was very well seasoned. All of their sauces were great. Our server was super nice. For the price of $29 all you can eat per person I would definitely this place and this location.
Great place with all you can eat Korean BBQ; what could go wrong? Even on Thanksgiving the wait for 3 of us was only 20 minutes. Much more comfortable than my usual place downtown, although the food wasn't exceptional it was very good.
It took a long time to wait for a table. I was originally told that it would only take 15 to 20 minutes, but in fact we waited for nearly 30 minutes. The scissors used to cut food are dull. One of the sauces (vegetable oil and pale yellow sauce) was too American for my liking. The red sauce on the other plate had no taste at all. The marinated pork, beef with their store’s special sauce, octopus, and pork belly are all delicious, highly recommended! The only drinks they can choose are alcohol and ordinary drinks, and ordinary drinks have less choices.
Really Good Music and amazing friendly staff! The manager was really great assisted in helping staff with tables, talked about the dishes and gave good recommendations! Very pleasant conversation when he came to the table! Very good place to eat and have a night out!
We visited Iron Age on a Saturday evening in a group of 5, and the wait was only 15 minutes. The service was prompt and attentive, and the meat was brought to the table quickly after we ordered.
I found the pork belly, beef brisket, and spicy squid pretty enjoyable. I was hoping for garlic and jalapeño slices to complement the KBBQ, but unfortunately they were not available during my visit.
Today, I decided to visit Iron Age Steakhouse after receiving many enthusiastic recommendations from several friends. The restaurant was bustling every time I passed by, so I decided to give it a try.
We opted for the all-you-can-eat menu, which offered an impressive assortment of meats—from beef to pork, chicken, and shrimp. Each option had unique and delicious flavors; my personal favorites were the Garlic Pork Steak and the Beef Bulgogi. The freshness and taste of the meats were exceptional.
Our experience was elevated by our server, Yoona, whose outstanding service and attentiveness added to the enjoyment of our meal.
I highly recommend making a reservation on weekends to avoid extended waiting times.
In my opinion, Iron Place stands out as the Best Korean steakhouse in Chicago, offering an exceptional combination of unbeatable quality, reasonable prices, and outstanding service that makes it truly unique.
Went there on Independence Day evening. Not that many people. Just a wait of 20 minutes. The food was just average. The service was good though. The seating near the bar was a bit noisy with the volume of the continuous disco videos on the screens on the wall.
Love, love, love this place! It was my second time in Chicago, I ate here the first time I visited, and I decided to bring my entire family the second time. Iron Age, Korean steakhouse did not disappoint!
We got there during the dinner rush, there were already a lot of people waiting when we got there, but they gave us a table real quick, under 10 minutes.
Right away the table what’s up, they give you some oil and salt and chili sauce for your meat with some sides. We ordered several items on the menu, I don’t know if the portions were big the first time I came, but the portions were humongous. It wasn’t a problem, but we didn’t get to try that many items on the menu because we were full with the first round of meat we ordered. wish the portions could’ve been smaller. Our server was friendly, but didn’t return to the table that often. The atmosphere was really nice, the music was really great. The food was delicious. Just like the first time, my belly was satisfied. I love Korean barbecue, and this place knows how to separate really well. Highly recommend you make sure the portion they are giving you is for 1 to 2 people, depending on your group. If it’s too big of a portion, let your server know if it’s too much and they’ll take it off the table.
They do have a policy, where if you order too much, and do not eat it, they will fine you by charging you extra. You cannot take food to-go.
